BULLDOGS HIT THE ROAD FOR FINAL ROADTRIP OF THE SEASON: The Gonzaga University women's soccer squad heads to California for its final roadtrip of the 2013 season. The Bulldogs play at West Coast Conference newcomer University of the Pacific Friday at 7 p.m. and round out the weekend with a match at Saint Mary's College Sunday at 11 a.m.

ABOUT THE PACIFIC TIGERS: The University of the Pacific women's soccer squad currently holds a 3-10-3 overall mark and a 2-3-1 record in the West Cost Conference. The first-year WCC members defeated both Saint Mary's College and Loyola Marymount University 1-0 and tied the University of San Francisco 1-1 in double-overtime. Maricela Padilla leads the squad in goals with four, while Alex Hussar leads the team in assists with four. The Tigers are coached by Keith Coleman in his 20th year at the helm.

ABOUT THE SAINT MARY'S GAELS: Saint Mary's College enters into the weekend with a 6-10 overall record and a 2-3 mark in West Coast Conference play. The Gaels have played six Top 25 squads this season, including the-then No. 14 ranked Santa Clara University. SMC dropped a 4-0 decision to the Broncos. Briana Campos is the top goal scorer for Saint Mary's, having tallied six this season. Caroline Beaulne has added two goals and a team-leading five assists. The Gaels are coached by Kai Edwards in his fifth year as head coach.

OVERTIME A PLENTY: Five out of the last eight Gonzaga University versus Saint Mary's College women's soccer matches have gone into overtime, including the last three-straight. Four of the five went to double-overtime and two of the five ended in ties. In 2012, the Bulldogs tallied two goal in the final minute of regulation to tie the match and send it into overtime. The Gaels earned the win by scoring the golden goal with 45 seconds left in double-overtime.

ZAGS WEST COAST CONFERENCE HISTORY: Gonzaga University women's soccer ended the 2012 West Coast Conference season with a 1-6-1 mark. The Bulldogs tie came against the University of Portland - a 1-1 double-overtime tie - and was the first non-loss against the Pilots in 21 matches dating back to the 1992 campaign. The most wins in a league season for GU has been three coming in five different seasons, including 2010 when the Zags closed out WCC at 3-4.

AMY EDWARDS IN FIFTH YEAR AT THE HELM: Gonzaga University women's soccer head coach Amy Edwards is in her fifth-year at the helm in 2013. Edwards currently holds a 34-52-4 overall record and is the second winningest coach in Gonzaga history. To see Edwards' full bio, go to GoZags.com.

SEVEN DIFFERENT PLAYERS HAVE SCORED FOR GONZAGA: Seven different Gonzaga University women's soccer players have scored this season. Three sophomores, two juniors, one freshman, and a senior make-up the goal scoring. Sophomore Heather Johnson and freshman Karley Baggerly lead the team with three goals each.

JOHNSON TALLIES TWO GOALS IN 3-0 WIN OVER EASTERN WASHINGTON: Gonzaga University women's soccer sophomore Heather Johnson tallied two goals to pace the Bulldogs to a 3-0 victory over Eastern Washington University, Sept. 17. Johnson tallied the Bulldogs first multi-goal match since classmate Sila Tuiofea scored two goals in GU's 2012 season opening 3-1 win over the University of South Dakota. Johnson has now notched four goals in her career.

BAGGERLY SCORES FIRST COLLEGIATE GOAL VERSUS EASTERN WASHINGTON: Gonzaga University women's soccer freshman Karley Baggerly scored her first collegiate goal in the Zags victory over Eastern Washington, Sept. 17. Baggerly's first goal was the second of the match and came in the 48th minute. Baggerly is tied with sophomore Heather Johnson for most goals scored on the squad with three.

EMILY ECKMANN NOTCHES FOURTH CAREER GOAL: Gonzaga University women's soccer senior Emily Eckmann notched the Bulldogs final goal in their 3-1 victory at Loyola Marymount, Oct. 13. It was the midfielder's fourth goal of her career and second of the year. She also tallied the lone goal in the Zags 3-1 setback at Oklahoma State University, Sept. 1.

TWO GOALS IN FIRST FIVE MINUTES OF ACTION VERSUS LMU: An offensive explosion that produced two goals in the first five minutes of play allowed the Gonzaga University women's soccer team to run away with a 3-1 victory over Loyola Marymount University, Oct. 13. Gonzaga hadn't scored two goals that fast in a contest since the 2000 campaign when it defeated Whitman College 10-0 and rattled off its first two goals at 2:29 and 4:39.

WHAT GONZAGA RETURNED: The Gonzaga University women's soccer squad returned 14 letterwinners in 2013, including seven starters, and adds 11 newcomers and two returning redshirts. The team is led by seniors Emily Eckmann and Ali Ohashi, along with a strong junior class of Tori Lee, Cricket Harber, Katey Pennington, Kasey Rubosky and Jordan Travis. Rubosky, a midfielder, returns as the squad's leader in points and goals, having notched 10 points on four goals and two assists a season ago. Lee, another midfielder, is the Bulldogs returning assists leader, having tallied five as a sophomore.

A TON OF NEW FACES: Gonzaga University welcomed 11 newcomers to its women's soccer team in 2013. The last time the Bulldogs has such a large freshman class was in 2010 when head coach Amy Edwards - then in her second season with the Zags - also welcomed 11 freshman. This year's freshman class consists of four defenders, three midfielders, two forwards and two goalkeepers. They also represent four different states: California, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

COACHES TAB ZAGS NINTH: The Gonzaga University women's soccer team has been selected to finish ninth in the 2013 West Coast Conference season according to a preseason vote of the league's head coaches. The Zags received 22 votes in this year's poll, after losing four starters off a squad that went 8-11-1 and 1-6-1 in the conference a year ago. Santa Clara University was selected as the preseason favorite to win the 2013 WCC title. The Broncos captured all nine possible first place votes, and 81 overall points in the poll.
