SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's basketball team moved up two spots to No. 15 in the USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll released Tuesday.
The Bulldogs earned 91 additional points this week for a total of 305 to move from No. 17 into their top 15 spot. It is the highest ranking in the USA Today Coaches Poll for the Zags during the regular season and the highest overall since the 2009-10 season when they ended the year ranked 14th.
The University of Connecticut is ranked first in the poll with 800 total points and all 32 first-place votes. The University of Notre Dame is second with 766 and Stanford University third at 737.
Gonzaga is currently 20-3 on the year and 10-1 in the West Coast Conference after two victories this past week; a 52-point win over Santa Clara University and a 35-point win over the University of San Francisco.
