
Women's Soccer Opens Busy Home Weekend Against Montana

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University's women's soccer team kicks off the 2014 home season with a pair of matches this weekend.
The University of Montana will be at Luger Field Friday at 2:30 p.m. with the University of Idaho in town Sunday for a 1 p.m. contest. The Montana match is the first-half of a men's and women's double-header as the Bulldog men face the University of Washington at 5 p.m., the Huskies ranked as high as fourth in the preseason polls.
History could be made Friday when Gonzaga University faces the University of Montana. With a victory the Bulldogs would enjoy the first 3-0 start in program history which dates back to the 1991 season. The 2006 squad began the season 3-0-1, the tie a 0-0 double-overtime affair against Washington State University in the second match of the season.
