Postgame quotes
Lisa Fortier Gonzaga Head Coach
General thoughts on the game... We gutted it out, I know the score didn't indicate that we gutted out... That was a hard win. Our team was struggling; we didn't have a lot of continuity. They really denied us and took us out of some of the things we wanted to do. There somewhere in the third or fourth quarter we decided that we were going to work for great shots for our teammates and do the things that we practice all the time and it was very obvious when that happened.
On the run at the end... I think we had five players out there that understood what we wanted to do and were utilizing their teammates well. It was still at a high pace we still ran but we weren't forcing anything, we were letting the offense come to us.

On pulling away at the end... I think that we were playing a little individually there for a bit, so when we all came together we made it solid. We were running plays the way we should have and that's when we kind of ran away with the game.
On attacking the boards... It's always our goal to outrebound the other team and I think that today we were just on it, we weren't giving up. If they were blocking us out, we would just go around them so I think that's how we beat the by so much on the boards.
On the game overall... Overall I think it was a better game for us, definitely there were times where we weren't doing what we should have been doing but I think that we ended strong and the way that we should have.

On her night... It was a fun night just trying to find my teammates as much as possible. They were running down the floor, making shots so it was pretty easy. Assists all come from your teammates.
General thoughts on the night... We had some slow moments where we weren't doing what we were supposed to and I think that happens a lot against Eastern, at least in the past. They beat us up a lot and getting us doing things that we don't usually do.
