LAHAINA, Hawaii -- Gonzaga men's golf student-athlete Sean Walsh sits tied for eighth after the second round of the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic Saturday.

Walsh was two strokes over par (73) in Round 2. He made 12 pars on the second day, along with two birdies. The senior went two-over on the front-nine and two-over on the back-nine. He has a two-round total of 140 (-2). Walsh's 4.33 average and five-under scoring on par-five holes is second-best in the tournament. He has eight birdies through 36 holes.

David Ganz climbed up the leaderboard and is tied for 48th. He was three-over (74) in the second round. He made a team-high five birdies Saturday. He was one-over on the front-nine and two-over on the back. The sophomore is seven-over (149) after two rounds. He entered the day tied for 62nd.

As a team, the Zags are tied for 12th. After totaling a 291 (+7) Friday, they had a 298 (+14) in Round 2. GU has a two-round total of 589 (+21). It is just four strokes out of the top 10.

Will Brueckner and Ryan Gaske are tied for 57th. Both are eight-over par (150) through 36 holes. Gaske followed up his first round 75, with a 75 again Saturday. Brueckner carded a 76 (+5) in the second round. Brueckner also had a team-high five birdies in the round. Gaske made par on nine holes. Angus Montgomery is tied for 92nd at 16-over (158). He had an 80 (+9) in Round 2.

Georgia's Zach Healy has a three-stroke lead over the field. He carded a 66 (-5) on Day 2 and is eight-under after 36 holes. Grant Hirschman of Oklahoma and Ball State's Johnny Watts are both at five-under through two rounds.

Oklahoma leads the team leaderboard at 11-under (557). The Sooners had a 281-total in Round 2. Georgia (-5) and North Carolina State (-3) are the only other programs under-par through two rounds.
