SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Gonzaga men's golf student-athletes, James Fahy and Sean Walsh, were both named to the 2014-15 West Coast Conference All-Academic Team, while Brendan Connolly was tabbed honorable mention.

"All three have worked hard to achieve high marks in the classroom, while also working hard to help the team set numerous program records on the course this year," Gonzaga head coach Robert Gray said. "They've been excellent examples of what it means to be a student-athlete at Gonzaga. It's an honor well deserved."

Fahy is named to the team for the second time, after being tabbed WCC All-Academic in 2013. Through 22 rounds, he averages a team-best 72.23 round. The senior has three top-10 finishes, including two in the past consecutive tournaments. He has 12 rounds of par or under-par. Fahy was also a member of the All-WCC team in 2013.

Through 22 rounds, Walsh is averaging a 73.77 round. The 2013 WCC Newcomer of the Year had a low-round of 68 at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic. He finished 10th at the Georgetown Intercollegiate. He was All-WCC in 2013 and honorable mention last year.

Connolly makes his second straight appearance on the WCC All-Academic honorable mention list. He has appeared in all eight events, 22 rounds, for the Zags this season. The senior is averaging 76.05 this season. He had a low-round of 69 this past weekend at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic.

The Bulldogs, the only program in the conference with three student-athletes named All-Academic, open the postseason with the West Coast Conference Championships Monday. The tournament will be held at the Saticoy Golf Club in Ventura, Calif.
