BETHEL, Ohio - Three rowers from the Gonzaga women's crew team each earned multiple gold medals for Vesper Boat Club at the USRowing Club National Championships in Bethel, Ohio, July 15-19.

Seniors Kara Soucek, Devyn Bell and Maddie Turbes helped Vesper win the Colgan Cup for the overall team championship, as well as the Marion D. Ventura Women's All-Point Award.

The Zag trio teamed up in the Senior 8+ and Intermediate 8+ boats to help those crews to gold. Soucek rowed in the stroke seat with Bell in the 5 seat and Turbes in the 4 seat.

Bell also helped the Senior 4+ to a gold medal and the Senior 4- to a bronze medal, the latter alongside Soucek.

Turbes and Soucek also combined for a silver medal on the intermediate 4+ boat.

The Vesper Boat Club operates out of Philadelphia, Pa., under Program Director Sean Clarke.
