
Carter Named Academic All-Conference

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- After being named honorable mention Academic All-West Coast Conference last season, Gonzaga women's soccer's Sarah Carter was named to this year's WCC All-Academic team Wednesday.
Carter started and played all 75 games for the Zags the past four years. She has been a staple in the GU defense and has provided some offensive highlights during her career. This past season, the senior played a team-high 1,603 minutes. She scored a goal and recorded an assist in four games in 2016. Carter took 17 of her 34 career shots in 2016. She finished her career with seven assists. The Bonney Lake, Wash. native boasts a 3.76 grade point average as a nursing major.
Karley Baggerly (3.61, Business Administration), Kristin Standish (3.54, Psychology), Sarah Swanson (3.40, Psychology), Jodi Ulkekul (3.36, Undeclared) were all tabbed honorable mention Academic All-WCC.
