STORYLINES
- Last time out: GU advanced to its 19th straight WCC Championship final with an 88-84 win over BYU. Kyle Wiltjer had 29 points.
- Gonzaga was swept by Saint Mary's in the regular season for the first time since 1995. The Zags lost by a combined eight points.
- Gonzaga had faced Saint Mary's in the WCC title game seven times (all between 2004-2013) and has a 5-2 edge in those games.

- Gonzaga has had a higher field goal percentage and outrebounded 28 of 32 opponents so far this season.
- Domantas Sabonis is averaging a double-double at 17.5 points and 11.7 rebounds/game (No. 8 in the NCAA) while shooting .614 from the floor, which ranks him first in the WCC in rebounding and second in field goal percentage.
- Sabonis posted his league-leading 20th double-double of the season on Monday vs. BYU with 15 points and 14 rebounds and has 14 in the past 18 games. He's missed a double-double by either one point or one rebound three other times this season.
- Kyle Wiltjer leads the league in scoring at 20.8 points per game (No. 24 in the NCAA), and has had 20-plus 19 times this season along with double figures in 29 of 32 games.

- Head coach Randy Bennett is in his 15th season as the Gaels' head coach with a career- record of 331-149.
- SMC has lost just four games this season, and are currently on an eight-game winning streak.
- Sophomore Emmett Naar leads the team in scoring at 13.9 points per game and assists at 6.3 per game.
- Joe Rahon is second in assists at 5.7 per game and one of six Gaels to average at least 8.2 ppg with his mark of 10.3 ppg.
- Saint Mary's leads the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.76:1 and in field goal percentage at .509.
25-PLUS WINS IN NINE CONSECUTIVE SEASONS
Gonzaga's win over BYU in the WCC semifinals gave the Bulldogs their 25th win of the season, marking the ninth straight time and 15th time in Mark Few's 17 seasons that GU has won at least 25 games. The only two seasons of the Few era without 25 wins were 2007 (23-10) and 2004 (24-9).
SABONIS ON A ROLL
Gonzaga sophomore phenom Domantas Sabonis has shown his offensive efficiency in the first two games of the WCC Tournament, shooting 82.4 percent on 14-for-17 shooting. In the first game, he went 8-for-11 en route to a team-high 24 points. Sabonis followed that up two nights later in the semifinals vs. BYU with a perfect 6-for-6 performance that notched 18 points. Combined with making his finally two field goals against Portland, he enters the St. Mary's game with eight straight makes from the field.
FOUR DOUBLE-FIGURE SCORERS
After having four players score in double figures against BYU, GU now has four players who average at least double figures for the season, led by Kyle Wiltjer's 20.8. Domantas Sabonis is second at 17.5 ppg, Eric McClellan is third at 10.3 ppg and Josh Perkins is fourth on the team in scoring at 10.1 ppg.
McCLELLAN, SABONIS DOMINATE IN WCC TOURNAMENT QUARTERS
Redshirt senior Eric McClellan followed up his first game after being named the WCC Defensive Player of the Year with his best offensive game as a Zag. He poured in 26 points with 14 coming in the first half, knocking down eight of 15 field goals (3-for-5 3FG) and going 7-for-7 from the free throw line. That coupled with a huge performance from Domantas Sabonis led GU to the win. Sabonis had 17 in the first half on the way to 24 points on the night. He was 8-for-11 from the field and had his first-career game with multiple threes going 2-for-2. Sabonis was also 6-for-7 from the free throw line.
WCC RETURNERS
Last season, Kyle Wiltjer was dominant on his way to earning WCC Most Outstanding Player honors as he averaged 18.0 points and 9.0 rebounds on .595 shooting from the field. He was 8-for-13 (.615) from behind the arc and averaged 2.0 assists per game. In the championship win over BYU, Wiltjer posted a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Also for the tournament Domantas Sabonis (7-for-12) and Kyle Dranginis (7-for-11) were efficient from the field in combining to make 14 of 23 field goals and 16 of 22 free throws.
WCC TOURNAMENT HISTORY
- Gonzaga is 47-15 all-time in the WCC Tournament with 14 titles and 21 finals appearances, including a finals appearance in each of the last 19 seasons.
- Mark Few is 35-4 (.897) all-time in WCC Tournament with title-game appearances in all 17 seasons. - Mark Few is 12-4 all-time in WCC Tournament championship games.
- Gonzaga carries an 10-game winning streak in the 2016 finals vs. Saint Mary's.
- Redshirt senior Kyle Dranginis is now 10-0 in the four WCC tournaments he's played in.
- A win in the final would give GU its fourth straight WCC Tournament title in a row for the third time in school history.
McCLELLAN NAMED WCC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Redshirt senior guard Eric McClellan was chosen by the league coaches as the WCC Defensive Player of the Year, while Domantas Sabonis and Kyle Wiltjer were named to the All-WCC First Team and Josh Perkins was named to the WCC All-Freshman Team. McClellan becomes the sixth Zag to take home the DPOY honors and second in a row after Gary Bell won the award last season. In the regular season, he notched 26 steals and chipped in with seven blocks from his guard position. He also added 9.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game for GU.
SABONIS NAMED COSIDA ACADEMIC ALL AMERICAN
Sophomore forward Domantas Sabonis brought home one of the nation's highest honors when he was named a CoSIDA Academic All-American on Thursday, College Sports Information Directors of America officials announced. Sabonis, who carries a 3.46 grade-point average as a Sport Management major, was named to the Second Team and becomes the eighth Gonzaga men's basketball player overall to earn the award and 14th honoree overall. He's just the third sophomore in program history to be recognized at the Academic All-America level and one of just four sophomores nationwide this season that earned the distinction on the list comprised of three five-player teams.
WILTJER, SABONIS MOVING UP RECORD BOOKS
In just two seasons, Kyle Wiltjer has put himself among the top Zags when it comes to scoring. His total of 638 points last season ranks as the eighth-best single-season total in program history, but his current total of 666 points this season ranks fifth overall. His total of 1,304 points as a Zag also ranks 22nd all-time at GU. For Sabonis, his rebounding numbers have been the most impressive, currently ranking as the fourth-best single-season total with 375 rebounds this season, just six boards out of the top five. His career-total of 643 rebounds moved him into the top 10 all-time at GU.
IRONMAN: WILTJER MINUTES
Kyle Wiltjer has steadily grow his playing time, going from 11.6 to 23.8 minutes per game in his two seasons at Kentucky, and now he's taken on an even bigger role at Gonzaga. Last season, he averaged 27.6 minutes per game and was the team's leading scorer, but coupled with the injury to Przemek Karnowski, Wiltjer not only leads the team in scoring this season but also in minutes played at 33.5 per game.
PERKINS LEADING AT THE POINT
Redshirt freshman Josh Perkins has shown his growth over the last month. In the last 11 games, he's had at least five assists on eight occasions, and has a 3.00 assist-to-turnover ratio. He's had at least eight points in eight straight games, including a 21-point outburst against Saint Mary's at home and 17 points on Monday night vs. BYU. In 18 conference games, Perkins was the second in the league three-point shooting at .463 (25-for-54) and was fifth in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.7.
