Pagdanganan Selected to NCAA Regionals

April 25, 2016

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-- Bianca Pagdanganan's standout freshman campaign will continue as the Quezon City, Philippines, native was selected to compete in the NCAA's Bryan, Texas Regional Monday.

Pagdanganan is the third-ranked individual into the Bryan Regional, which will be played Thursday, May 5 - Saturday, May 7 at the Traditions Club in Bryan. The Traditions Club is a par-72 course that will either play 6,373 yards or 6,242, depending on the day's setup.

During her first year at Gonzaga, the West Coast Conference co-Freshman of the Year has seen plenty of success, winning the prestigious Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in October 2015. She also posted three other Top 5 and four other Top 10 finishes, including a tie for second at the WCC Championships last week. She's on pace to break the school's stroke average record by over one stroke at 72.65, and she's posted 11 rounds at or under par, including two of Gonzaga's three rounds under 70 on the year.

The freshman's berth in the Bryan Regional will mark the fourth year in a row a Gonzaga team or player has competed in an NCAA regional. The entire women's golf team earned at-large berths each of the last three years.

Play will begin on March 5. Pagdanganan will tee off on her first round at 8:50 a.m. Central (6:50 a.m. Pacific) on the No. 1 tee.
