Women's Soccer Match with EWU Cancelled in 61st minute

SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Gonzaga women's soccer match against Eastern Washington was called in the 61st minute due to inclement weather at Luger Field Friday.
The Eagles (3-1-0) led 2-1 with 29 minutes left in regulation, but the match was not resumed after a lengthy lightning delay.
Eastern Washington's Allison Raniere opened the scoring in the third minute, but the Zags' (2-1-1) Karley Baggerly responded with a goal just four minutes later. EWU's Jenny Chavez headed in a corner kick in the 16th minute.
The game was ruled a no contest and the result and stats will not count for either team.
Tickets purchased to today's match can be exchanged at the ticket office for entry to any future women's soccer match this season.
