ABOUT THE SERIES
- This is the 95th all-time meeting between Gonzaga and Saint Mary's.
- GU leads the series 65-29 and has won 11 of the last 13 meetings. The Bulldogs are 39-9 against SMC under Mark Few. - The last eight WCC Tournament titles have been won by either Gonzaga or Saint Mary's. GU has six of the eight titles.
- The Zags are 12-3 against SMC in the West Coast Conference Tournament. GU has won the last three meetings in the WCC Tournament. The teams have met in the event seven of the past eight years.
- Gonzaga pulled away from the Gaels in the first meeting this season, 79-56, on Jan. 14, in Spokane.
- Nigel Williams-Goss scored 19 points and had six assists. Gonzaga shot 64.7 percent, while holding SMC to 39.7 percent. - Gonzaga won the first all-time meeting between the programs, 86-84, in Moraga on Dec. 23, 1971.
ABOUT SAINT MARY'S
- Saint Mary's rides into the championships on a six-game win streak, including an 81-50 rout over BYU in the conference tournament semifinals. SMC held BYU to 32 percent shooting from the field, while it made 56 percent.
- Jock Landale scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Calvin Hermanson and Emmett Naar added 14 and 12 points.
- Landale leads SMC with 17.1 points (4th, WCC) and 9.5 rebounds (1st, WCC) per game. He is shooting 61.2 percent from the field, which ranks second in the West Coast Conference and 16th in the country.
- Hermanson adds 13 points per game, and Emmett Naar chips in 9.5 points per contest.
- Naar tops the WCC averaging 5.8 assists per game (20th in NCAA), while teammate Joe Rahon is second at 5.7 (21st in NCAA). Rahon is seventh in the nation with a 3.47 assist-to-turnover ratio and 19th at 36:21 minutes per game.
- Saint Mary's is second in the country limiting opponents to 55.9 points per game.
- The Gaels are first in the WCC in scoring defense, rebound-margin (9.7, third in NCAA), assists per game (17.0, 16th in NCAA) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.63, third in NCAA). SMC's 10.4 turnovers per game rank 14th in the nation.
ZAGS IN THE WCC TOURNAMENT
- Gonzaga is 50-15 all-time in the WCC Tournament with 15 titles and 23 finals appearances, including each of the last 20 seasons. The Zags carry a 13-game winning streak in the league tournament.
- Mark Few is 33-4 all-time in WCC Tournament with title-game appearances in all 17 previous seasons. - Redshirt senior Przemek Karnowski is 10-0 in the three WCC tournaments he's played in. - Gonzaga is 6-2 in the WCC Tournament finals played in Las Vegas, winning the last four titles. The two losses were both to Saint Mary's (2012: 78-74 OT and 2010: 81-62)
- The Bulldogs are 15-7 in championship games at the tournament, including 6-2 in the finals against Saint Mary's (4-2 versus SMC in title games in Las Vegas).
VIVA LAS ZAGAS
- Gonzaga returns to Las Vegas where it has won the last five of the last six WCC tournaments, including the last four.
- The Zags are 19-2 in the West Coast Conference Tournament since 2009, when the event moved to Las Vegas.
- Gonzaga's two losses in the tournament in Las Vegas have both been to Saint Mary's, the 2010 and 2012 finals.
- The Bulldogs were 33-13 in the conference tournament prior to it coming to Vegas.
- The Zags have never lost an opening game of the tournament in Las Vegas, winning all nine.
TOP DOGS AGAIN
- Gonzaga is the top seed in the West Coast Conference Tournament for the 16th time.
- The Zags have won three straight WCC Tournament titles as the No. 1 seed.
- GU is 32-5 in the WCC Tournament as the one-seed.
LIFE ON THE ROAD
- Since March 6, 2010, Gonzaga is 106-30 in road or neutral games. The Zags' 77.9-win percentage on the road or neutral games tops the nation over that span.
- The Bulldogs were the only team in the conference that went perfect on the road season at 9-0.
- Gonzaga last went unbeaten on the road in the 2003-04 season when it went 10-0.
- The Zags have won 16 consecutive games away from the McCarthey Athletic Center.

FEW RECEIVES A FEW COACH OF THE YEAR AWARDS
- Mark Few was named the 2017 NBC Sports College Basketball Coach of the Year Monday. - On Tuesday, Few was selected as the USA Today Coach of the Year.
USBWA HONORS ZAGS
- UCLA's Lonzo Ball was named the District IX Player of the Year.
WILLIAMS-GOSS COLLECTS ALL-AMERICAN HONORS
- Nigel Williams-Goss was tabbed second team All-American by NBC Sports, USA Today and Sporting News Monday. - Williams-Goss currently leads Gonzaga in scoring (16.7 points per game, fifth in the WCC), assists (4.7 per game, fourth in WCC) and steals (1.6 per game, second in WCC).
WILLIAMS-GOSS NAMED COUSY AWARD FINALIST
- Nigel Williams-Goss was named one of the five finalists for the 2017 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award presented by College of the Holy Cross the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced Monday. - A national committee comprised of top college basketball personnel narrowed the original watch list of 20 candidates down to 10 and now the final five.
- The winner of the 2017 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award presented by College of the Holy Cross will be determined by a combination of fan votes and input from the Basketball Hall of Fame's selection committee.
- The winner of the 2017 Bob Cousy Award will be presented at ESPN's College Basketball Awards, live from The Novo by Microsoft in downtown Los Angeles on April 7.
