SPOKANE, Wash. â€" Redshirt sophomore guard Bryan Alberts will transfer out of Gonzaga University school officials announced Thursday.

Alberts is on track to graduate in August and will have two years of eligibility remaining. He will depart Gonzaga and is expected to transfer to another Division I institution.

A native of Northridge, Calif., he played in 24 games in 2016-17. Alberts played in 58 games in a Gonzaga uniform, with 10 starts during the 2015-16 season. He finished his GU career with averages of 2.2 points in 9.2 minutes per game.
