ABOUT THE SERIES
- This is the 96th all-time meeting between Gonzaga and Saint Mary's.
- GU leads the series 66-29 and has won 12 of the last 14 meetings.
- The Bulldogs are 40-9 against SMC under Mark Few.
- Gonzaga is 29-9 all-time at home against SMC. GU is 12-2 in the meetings in the McCarthey Athletic Center.
- The last nine West Coast Conference Tournament titles have been won by either Gonzaga or Saint Mary's. The Zags have won seven of the nine titles.
- The Zags are 14-3 against SMC in the West Coast Conference Tournament. GU has won the last four meetings in the WCC Tournament. The teams have met in the event eight of the past nine years.
- The Bulldogs won the latest meeting, 74-56, in last year's WCC Tournament Championships. GU shot 50 percent from the field. Nigel Williams-Goss scored 22 points. Johnathan Williams and Silas Melson added 11 and 10 points.
- Gonzaga pulled away from the Gaels in last season's meeting in Spokane, 79-56, on Jan. 14, 2017.
- Williams-Goss scored 19 points and had six assists. Gonzaga shot 64.7 percent, while holding SMC to 39.7 percent.
- In last season's meeting in Moraga on Feb. 11, GU won 74-64. Johnathan Williams scored 17 points.
- Gonzaga won the first all-time meeting between the programs, 86-84, in Moraga on Dec. 23, 1971.
SCOUTING THE GAELS
- Saint Mary's rides a 12-game win streak into Spokane after a 91-67 victory at Pepperdine Saturday.
- The Gaels shot 66.7 percent from the field and made 28 assists on 36 made field goals.
- Jock Landale led SMC with 32 points and 12 rebounds. He made 13-of-15 from the field. Jordan Ford scored 20 points and Emmett Naar dished out 14 assists.
- SMC is just outside of the Top 25 in both major polls, two spots out of the Coaches' poll and five out of the AP poll.
- The Gaels top the NCAA in field goal percentage (52.4), are second in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.85), fourth in turnovers per game (9.6), eighth in assists (337), 12th in three-point field goal percentage (41.3), 14th in scoring margin (15.4), and 16th in free-throw percentage (77.7).
- Landale leads the nation with 164 made field goal attempts and Naar tops the country with 178 assists. Naar is also second in the NCAA dishing out 9.4 assists per game.
- Landale is sixth in the nation in double-doubles (12), 10th in total points (413) and rebounds (196), 11th in field goal percentage (65.3), and 19th in offensive rebounds per game (3.42) and points per game (21.7).
FAMILIAR FOE
- Johnathan Williams faced Saint Mary's three times last season and totaled 42 points on 19-of-28 shooting from the field. He also grabbed a total of 21 rebounds. In the game at Moraga, Williams scored 17 points and had 9 boards.
- Josh Perkins started all six games in his career against Saint Mary's. He has 57 career points versus the Gaels on 22-of-49 shooting, with 16 assists. As a redshirt freshman, he scored a game-high 21 points, with three three-pointers in Spokane on Feb. 20, 2016.
- Silas Melson has faced Saint Mary's eight times in his career, scoring 39 points on 15-of-25 shooting from the field.
FAMILIAR TERRITORY
- The Zags have now started West Coast Conference play 6-0 13 times in program history (2017-18, 2016-17, 2014-15, 2012-13, 2009-10, 2008-09, 2007-08, 2005-06, 2003-04, 2002-03, 1999-2000, 1998-99, 1993-94).
- Gonzaga was unbeaten in WCC play in 2003-04 (14-0), 2005-06 (14-0), 2008-09 (14-0), and 2012-13 (16-0).

- After setting a new league record last season by winning West Coast Conference games by an average of 26.2 points, the Zags have opened WCC action by winning their first six league games by 31.2 points (89.0-57.8).
- Gonzaga has trailed for 13 minutes and 29 seconds out of the possible 240 minutes of WCC play so far.
- GU has dished out 18.5 assists per game so far in West Coast Conference play, with a +13.5 rebound margin.
- The Bulldogs are shooting 52.4 percent from the field, and limiting opponents to 37.4 percent.
- Rui Hachimura is leading the team at 13.8 points per game off of the bench in league play. He has made 33 of his 43 shots from the field (76.7 percent) and 17-of-20 (85.0) from the free-throw line.
- Five other Zags are averaging double-digit points, with Josh Perkins (12.8) and Johnathan Williams (11.7) leading that pack.

- The Zag men and women have a combined record of 29-7, one of 13 schools to combine for 29 wins at this point of the season.

ZAGS RETURN TO MAUI
- Gonzaga will make its fifth appearance in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational this November.
- The Maui Jim Maui Invitational will present an eight-foot, hand-crafted, custom-made surfboard to the Gonzaga men's basketball team to celebrate the team's upcoming appearance in the 2018 Tournament during a timeout in the first half against Saint Mary's.
- The 2018 Maui Jim Maui Invitational teams include Arizona, Auburn, Duke, Gonzaga, Illinois, Iowa State, San Diego State and Xavier, comprising one of the most accomplished fields in history.
- The Bulldogs own a 9-4 record all-time in the Tournament, and took home the 2009 championship. Gonzaga also appeared in the Tournament in 2002, 2005 and 2013.
