ABOUT THE SERIES
- This is the 91st all-time meeting between Gonzaga and Loyola Marymount. GU has a 69-21 advantage in the series.
- GU has won 16 straight versus the Lions, and 21 of the last 22 meetings. The Zags have seven straight at LMU.
- The Bulldogs are 37-3 against Loyola Marymount under
Mark Few.
- Gonzaga eased to a 90-60 win in last season's meeting in Los Angeles on Feb. 10, 2017.
- The then-No. 1 ranked Zags shot 54 percent from the field in the win, and got 13 points from
Johnathan Williams and 11 from
Killian Tillie. GU made 57.7 percent in the first half from the field and led 50-28 at the break.
- In the meeting earlier last season in Spokane, cruised to a 93-55 win on Jan. 12.

- The Lions last win in the series came on Feb. 18, 2010, 74-66, in L.A. The Bulldogs are 26-14 all-time at LMU.
- Gonzaga won the first all-time meeting between the programs, 75-71, in Spokane in 1953.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
- Loyola Marymount is coming off of a 65-49 home loss to Santa Clara Thursday.
- The Lions were forced into 19 turnovers and were held to 3-of-13 shooting from behind-the-arc.
- Steven Haney led LMU with 17 points. Eli Scott added 14 points with seven rebounds and three steals.
- The Lions shot 52 percent (11-for-21) from the field in the first half, but committed 10 turnovers in the opening 20 minutes. Santa Clara led 31-23 at the break.
- James Batemon is averaging a team-high 17.8 points per game. He's also dished out a team-high 65 assists and leads Loyola Marymount with 20 steals. Batemon is shooting 51.3 percent from the field.
- Scott and Haney are adding 13.1 and 11.9 points per game. Scott averages a team-best 7.4 rebounds. Haney has made a team-high 34 three-pointers this season.

Silas Melson has totaled 41 points in six career appearances against Loyola Marymount.
- He scored a career-high against the Lions in last season's meeting in Spokane. He had 13 points and made 5-of-9 from the field, including 3-for-5 from behind-the-arc.

Josh Perkins has started in all four of his appearances against LMU. He has totaled 24 points in his career against the Lions, including 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field with five assists in Spokane last season.

Killian Tillie finished with 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field in the win at Pepperdine.
- It was the fourth 20-point game of his career, with all four coming this season.
- He made all three of his three-point attempts, with all three coming in the first half.
- The sophomore added eight rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal.
WILLIAMS NAMED A SENIOR CLASS CANDIDATE
- Sixty NCAA men's and women's basketball student-athletes who excel both on and off the court were selected as candidates for the 2017-18 Senior CLASS Award® in collegiate basketball.
- To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.
- An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
- Each of the 30 candidate classes will be narrowed to fields of 10 finalists in February, and those 10 names will be placed on the official ballot.
- Ballots will be distributed through a national voting system to media, coaches and fans, who will select one male candidate and one female candidate who best exemplifies excellence in the four Cs of community, classroom, character and competition.
- The Senior CLASS Award winners will be announced during the 2018 NCAA Men's Final Four and NCAA Women's Final Four.
