SCOUTING THE REBELS:
- UNLV returns four starters and 10 letter winners from last season's squad that finished 19-12 overall with a 14-4 mark in the Mountain West, good for a tie for first. The Rebels advanced to the first round of the WNIT where they lost 78-68 to Utah.
- This season, UNLV received its highest preseason ranking in the last 14 years as the Rebels were picked to finish second in the Mountain West Conference behind 2018 tournament champion Boise State. Top returner Katie Powell was selected Preseason All-Mountain West, the first Rebel to do so since 2011-12. Powell averaged 15.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game last season as a junior; she is also a Lisa Leslie Award Watch List member.
- Other starters returning for UNLV are 2018 Honorable Mention All-Mountain West selection Nikki Wheatley (13.6 ppg) as well as Paris Strawther (9.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg) and Jordyn Bell (7.3 ppg).
- So far this season, UNLV averages 53.5 points per game shooting 32.0 percent from the floor including 25.0 percent from long range. The Rebels have given up an average of 62.5 points in their first two games, but they out-rebound their opponents by an average of 5.0 rpg (41.5-36.5). Powell is the only player to average double figures with 14.5 points per game, and she also leads the Rebels in rebounding with 7.0 per contest.
- UNLV averages 5.5 assists per contest and 4.0 blocks per game.

TURNOVER CHAIN
So far this season, the Zags have been relentless in forcing turnovers. Between their full-court press to their scrappy half-court defense, the Bulldogs collect an average of 12.7 steals per game while forcing an average of 21.33 turnovers per game. Through three games, the Zags lead the WCC in turnover margin (+7.7) and rank fourth in steals.

DOWN LOW DOMINANCE
Gonzaga has been nearly unstoppable inside, outscoring its first three opponents 102-62 in the key. That's an average of 13.3 points per game. The Bulldogs have also asserted themselves on the glass, posting a +3.7 rebounding margin through the first three games.

BENCHIN' IT

Jill Townsend and Katie Campbell have both been sparks off the bench for the Zags, averaging 11.0 and 10.3 points per game, respectively, while Melody Kempton has shown her ability inside with 4.3 rebounds per game and 1.0 blocks per contest.
