THE TIP-OFF:
- Gonzaga welcomes UT Arlington to the McCarthey Athletic Center for the first time on Tuesday, at 6 p.m.
- The Mavericks won the only other previous meeting, 95-87, in double-overtime in the 1992 UAB Classic in Birmingham, Ala.
- The Zags are 5-1 against Sun Belt Conference competition. GU defeated South Alabama in the 2013 Battle in Seattle in the Bulldogs' most recent meeting with a Sun Belt Conference foe.
- Gonzaga is coming off a 103-90 loss at North Carolina Saturday. Zach Norvell Jr. led the Bulldogs with 21 points, while Josh Perkins added 20 points, eight assists and four steals.
- Josh Perkins leads the country with 92 total assists and is third averaging 8.4 assists per game. Brandon Clarke is second in field goal percentage (70.8), third with 36 blocks and fifth averaging 3.3 blocks per game.
- The Zags are second in the nation in field goal percentage (52.2 percent) fourth in scoring offense (93.7), and seventh with 212 total assists.
- Gonzaga has appeared in 43 straight AP Top 25 Polls, and have never been ranked outside of the Top-20 during that streak.
- The Bulldogs' strength of schedule currently ranks as the eighth most difficult in the nation.
 
SERIES NOTES:
- This is the only the second all-time meeting between Gonzaga and UT Arlington.

- UT Arlington is coming off of 63-61 loss at North Texas on Dec. 8.
- Brian Warren led UTA with 15 points, while TiAndre Jackson-Young and David Azore added 12 and 11.
- Azore dished out six assists and Andres Ibarguen grabbed eight rebounds.
- Warren averages a team-best 14.9 points per game, and Edric Dennis chips in 14 points per outing. Ibarguen adds 11.5 points and a team-high eight rebounds per contest.
- Warren leads the team with 33 assists this season.
- The Mavericks were picked 11th in the Sun Belt Conference preseason poll.
 
A ZAG WIN WOULD ...
- Be Gonzaga's 23rd straight over an unranked team.
- Be the 21st consecutive home non-conference victory.
- Extend GU's home win streak to 11.
- Improve the Bulldogs' record to 6-1 all-time versus current members from the Sun Belt Conference.
