Men's Tennis Falls at UC Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- The Gonzaga men's tennis team ran into a talented UC Santa Barbara squad on Wednesday afternoon in Santa Barbara, Calif.
The Gauchos (8-5) took the doubles point and all six singles courts in the 7-0 win by the home team. For GU (6-3), each player played at least one set to a 6-4 score line. Kyle Everly and Matthew Perkins each won seven total games on Courts 4 and 6, respectively.
Gonzaga's No. 1 duo of Vincent Rettke and Kyle Everly played UCSB to a 3-3 draw before the match went unfinished as the Gauchos won the point.
The Zags have two remaining matches on their California swing, playing in Irvine for both. GU takes on UC Irvine tomorrow, and then plays Yale on Saturday in a neutral site match.
