ROME - Gonzaga 2018 signee Federica Torre recently won the 64th Women's and Men's City of Rome Golden Cup in Rome, Italy on the Golf Club Roma Acquasanta.

She finished six-over-par in the three day tournament running March 31 to April 2. She shot 76-70-73, battling rain, wind, and hail on the first day, and wind the next two days. The tournament is a national tournament organized by the Italian Golf Federation. It falls just behind the Italian Championships in order of importance.

Last year Torre took third at the tournament at the course built in 1903, the oldest Italian golf course. The course features historic sights of Italy's past.
