SERIES NOTES:
Gonzaga and Colorado State meet for the first time. The Zags are 18-13-5 against current Mountain West Conference members all-time. GU tied Boise State, 3-3, in its latest meeting with a Mountain West opponent on Sept. 15, 2016, in Spokane. The Bulldogs fell at Utah State (2-1, OT) and beat Nevada (1-0) that same season. Colorado State, which started its program in 2013, has never played a current memeber of the West Coast Conference. The Zags and Colorado State have one similar opponent this season, Grand Canyon. Both teams beat GCU, Gonzaga winning 2-1 in overtime, and CSU winning 1-0.
 
SCOUTING THE RAMS:
- Colorado State beat Grand Canyon, 1-0, in its latest game Friday.
- The Rams outshot GCU, 14-12, but trailed 5-2 in shots on goal. Both teams took seven corner kicks.
- Caeley Lordemann took two shots and scored the goal. Both Kaija Ornes and Hannah Gerdin took three shots.
- Gabi McDonald made five saves for Colorado State.
- McDonald (10 saves) and Hunter Pelfer (22 saves) have shared time in the CSU net this season.
- Lordemann has two of the Rams' four goals. Taylor Steinke has the team's lone goal. Six of Lordemann's team-high 16 shots have been on goal.
- Colorado State has been outscored 5-4 in its six games so far this season.
- Thursday's game will be the fifth of six straight home games for Colorado State. The Rams are 2-2-0 at home this season.
- CSU was picked 11th in the MWC preseason poll.
 
BEST IN THE WEST ... COAST CONFERENCE:
- The Zags average a league-best 18.83 shots per game.
- Gonzaga has played the fewest amount of games in the conference, but its 113 total shots are the most in the league.
- The Bulldogs are one of only five teams in the WCC that have taken over 100 shots already this season.
