Rogers Named Women’s Rowing Assistant Coach

Washington State alum joins Zag staff

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga women's rowing head coach Marisa Wortman has finalized her staff for the upcoming season with the hiring of Chloe Rogers as an assistant coach.

Rogers, a Spokane native, who rowed at Washington State for the nationally-ranked Cougars has competed in three NCAA Championships.  Most recently, she has spent the last few months overseas watching the World Rowing Cup and traveling internationally.

"Chloe received amazing recommendations and has developed a reputation for her focus and work ethic," Wortman said.  "She will be a great addition and shares the vision the staff has to continue building the speed of the team."

With the addition of Rogers, every member of the Gonzaga coaching staff has rowed at the NCAA Championships during the course of their career.

"I am very excited to be in the competitive environment that Gonzaga women's rowing provides," Rogers said. "I am eager to share my knowledge and experience as a former collegiate rower with the team. And, I look forward to seeing where this season takes us."

The Zags kick off the season Saturday in Pullman against the aforementioned Cougars.
