SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Gonzaga forward Demitrius Kigeya was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week after his performance over the weekend in an upset of No. 18 San Diego, league officials announced Monday.

Kigeya scored in the 67^th minute, just 90 seconds after the Toreros had tied the score at 1-1. The sophomore's second goal of the season proved to be the difference in GU's first ranked win in three years.

The win also propelled Gonzaga to 2-1-0 in WCC play this season, which puts them in third, three points ahead of five other teams and three points behind unbeaten Saint Mary's and LMU.
