LOS ANGELES – The Gonzaga volleyball team fell at Loyola Marymount in three sets (25-18, 25-17, 25-19) Thursday evening at the Gersten Pavilion in Los Angeles.
 
Gonzaga (6-9, 0-3 WCC) was led by junior Chapin Gray with a team-high eight kills hitting .172. Gray added four digs on the evening. Sophomore Kennedy Croft added a team-high eight digs to go along with four service aces. Zoe Thiros, Sarah Penner and Abby Knapp each finished with five kills.
 
The Bulldogs hit .152 as a squad, connecting for 29 kills off 105 swings with 13 errors. Knapp led the Zags in accuracy as the redshirt sophomore finished with five kills off 12 attempts with one error to hit .333.
 
The match featured 29 total ties with nine lead changes; the first set alone had 12 ties with four lead changes.
 
Loyola Marymount (9-7, 3-1 WCC) was led by Megan Rice with a match-high 17 kills hitting .406 to go along with six digs and four blocks. Bo Culo added 16 digs for the Lions.
 
Gonzaga travels to Malibu, Calif., to take on Pepperdine Saturday, Oct. 5 at 12 p.m.
