Burrup has had a stellar career in New Mexico. During her junior year, she led the 5A District 1 in total points (54) and goals (21). She added 12 assists. In her senior year, she led in goals (19) and assists (14), totaling 52 points. Burrup was named the district's Player of the Year for her efforts in 2019. As a junior, she was named first team All-State, All-District and All-Metro. She was even recognized as the MaxPreps National Player of the Week during the 2018 season. Burrup helped guide Cibola to the state title in 2016, recording an assist in the Cougars' 1-0 championship game win.

After being her respective class president each of the past three years, Burrup was named the student body president as a senior. She is a member of the National Honor Society with a 3.92 GPA.

"I chose Gonzaga because of the elite level of coaching at the highest level of competition," Burrup said. "Gonzaga will also challenge me with a rigorous classroom setting, all on a faith-centered campus."
