No. 23 Zags Travel to No. 3 Stanford Sunday

THE TIP-OFF
- Gonzaga will look to extend its win streak against the Cardinal to two games, which would be the longest for the Zags of the series.
- Stanford will be the first ranked opponent the Bulldogs face this season. Currently, Stanford is ranked third in both the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 poll and USA Today Coaches Poll.
- Gonzaga is receiving votes in the AP poll, and the Bulldogs are ranked No. 23 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
- Gonzaga is 19-66 all-time against Pac-12 opponents, and the Bulldogs are 6-7 against the Pac-12 under head coach Lisa Fortier.
- The Bulldogs have started the season 3-0 eight times in program history, including three times during Lisa Fortier's first five seasons.
- This will be the fifth time in program history the Zags have played on Nov. 17. GU carries an undefeated record of 4-0 on this date.
- Through two home games during the 2019-20 season, Gonzaga ranks fifth in the country for attendance percent capacity. On average, the Bulldogs fill up 88.37 percent of the McCarthey Athletic Center every game. That equates to an average attendance of 5,288 fans. 
- Gonzaga returns two starters and seven letter-winners from last season's squad that claimed the Zags' third consecutive and 15th overall West Coast Conference regular season title.
- In 2018-19, the Bulldogs advanced to their third-straight NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Second Round.
 
SERIES REVIEW
- This will be the 11th meeting between the Zags and the Cardinal.
- Stanford leads the series with an 8-2 advantage including a 4-1 edge in Palo Alto.
- Gonzaga is currently on a one-game win streak against Stanford.
- GU is 19-66 all-time against current Pac-12 opponents. The Zags are 6-7 against the Pac-12 under Lisa Fortier.
 
SCOUTING THE CARDINAL
- Through three games, Stanford is a perfect 3-0 and is averaging 93.0 points per game shooting 52.1 percent from the floor.
- The Cardinal boast a balanced scoring effort, with six players that average at least 7.0 points per game. Lexie Hull leads the offensive attack with 15.3 points per game, while DiJonai Carrington adds 11.3. Both Ashten Prechtel and Lacie Hull are close behind at an even 9.0 points per game each.
- As a squad, Stanford averages 52.0 rebounds per contest for a +19.0 rebounding margin through the first three contests. Francesca Belibi leads the Cardinal with 9.7 rebounds per contest, while Prechtel adds 7.3 per outing.
- Lexie Hull leads the Cardinal from the outside with five made threes on the season; she's also shooting 50 percent from long range. Pretchtel, Kiana Williams and Hannah Hump have each netted four threes. As a team, Stanford is shooting 45.6 percent from beyond-the-arc.
- Defensively, Stanford has held its opponents to 44.7 points per outing which ranks 10th in the nation. The Cardinal has limited two of its opponents to under 40 points, and it held Northern Colorado to 36 points and Eastern Washington to just 27.
- Stanford also averages under 12.0 turnovers a game with 11.7 on average. As a team, the Cardinal also forces 14.7 turnovers per contest.
 
ZAGS EARN 200TH WIN INSIDE McCARTHEY
Gonzaga's 78-55 win over visiting UT Martin on Thursday evening was the 200th win inside the McCarthey Athletic Center since its opening in 2004. The Bulldogs have had 31 sellouts (6,000) and carry a 200-27 (.881) overall record inside the MAC.
