- GU won its latest matchup versus a Big Ten opponent, beating Illinois in the quarterfinals of the Maui Invitational last season, 84-78.
- This is Gonzaga's second trip to the Battle 4 Atlantis.

- Gonzaga is coming off of a thrilling 73-72 overtime win over No. 11/10 Oregon Thursday.

Corey Kispert is shooting 12 of 16 from behind-the-arc, and averaging 22.5 points per game.

- The Wolverines forced UNC into 21 turnovers and blocked seven shots.
- Four Michigan players average double-digit scoring led Livers' 16.3 points per game. Brooks chips in 13.7 points per outing. Teske is scoring 12.3 points per game, while pulling down 8.8 rebounds a contest. Zavier Simpson has already dished out 55 assists in six games, and averages 12.2 points per game.
