THE TIP-OFF:
- Gonzaga and Loyola Marymount meet for the 95th time on Thursday in Los Angeles, at 8 p.m. GU has a 73-21 advantage in the series.
- The Zags have won 20 straight versus the Lions, and 24 of the last 25 meetings. The Lions last win in the series came on Feb. 18, 2010, 74-66, in L.A. The Bulldogs are 41-3 against Loyola Marymount under Mark Few.
- Gonzaga is 27-14 all-time at LMU and have won eight straight in L.A.
- Gonzaga is coming off a 94-46 rout win over Saint Mary's in Spokane Saturday. The Zags shot 58 percent from the field, while SMC was 25 percent. Brandon Clarke led GU with 24 points and three blocks.
- Clarke is first in the nation in field goal percentage (68.8), third with 77 blocks, and third averaging 3.08 blocks. Josh Perkins is sixth in the country with 170 assists and is ninth averaging 6.8 assists.
- Perkins is 20 assists from matching the most in a career in program history. Matt Santangelo is currently first at 668.
- The Zags are first in the nation in field goal percentage (52.8 percent), first in scoring margin (26.0), first in scoring offense (91.4), first in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.8), and second with 469 total assists.
- Through the first 10 games, the Bulldogs are outscoring their conference opponents by an average of 31.1 points.

- This is the 95th all-time meeting between Gonzaga and Loyola Marymount. GU has a 73-21 advantage in the series.

- The Zags' won the first meeting this season, 73-55 in Spokane. GU's Zach Norvell Jr. scored 17 points. Brandon Clarke added 13 points, Corey Kispert 12 and Rui Hachimura 10 for Gonzaga. LMU shot 38.2 percent for the game.
- In last season's meeting in Spokane, Gonzaga cruised to a 76-46 win on Feb. 15, 2018. Five Zags finished in double-figures, including Corey Kispert who scored 14 points. GU shot 51 percent from the field and held LMU to 33 percent.
- The Zags won the first all-time meeting between the programs, 75-71, in Spokane in 1953.
 
SCOUTING THE LIONS:
- LMU is coming off of a 72-55 win at Portland Saturday.
- The Lions' James Batemon scored a game-high 28 points, while Joe Quintana added 11.
- Batemon leads Loyola Marymount averaging 16.8 points per game, and Mattias Markusson adds 10.6 points per outing.
- Markusson grabs a team-best 6.8 rebounds per game. Batemon has thrown a team-high 93 assists and made 43 steals.
 
A ZAG WIN WOULD ...
- Be Gonzaga's 37th straight over an unranked team.
- Extend Gonzaga's national best conference win streak record to 25, including WCC Tournament games, 22 without.
- Extend GU's national best conference road win streak to 29.
- Be GU's 13th consecutive road win over an unranked team.
- Improve Josh Perkins' record to 125-17 in games he has played in for Gonzaga.
 
CLARKE NAMED WCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
- Brandon Clarke was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week.
- Clarke recorded back-to-back 20-point games in a pair of big wins for the No. 3/3 Zags. He totaled 44 points on 68 percent (17-of-25) shooting from the field.
- The redshirt junior added 22 rebounds, eight blocks, four assists and three steals.
- In the 92-62 win over San Francisco, he scored 20 points and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds. The 16 rebounds were the most in the McCarthey Athletic Center's 15-year history.
- Clarke also broke the program's single-season record for blocked shots. He needed two for the record and finished with five in the game.
- In the rout win over Saint Mary's, Clarke blocked three more shots and scored a game-high 24 points in 23 minutes on 9-of-12 shooting.
 
QUITE THE PERFORMANCE:
- Gonzaga flew past Saint Mary's in Spokane, 94-46.
- It was the second-largest margin of victory in the series history. The Zags' beat SMC, 102-48, in 2001.
- GU made 58 percent of its shots from the field, and limited the Gaels to 25.9 percent. Saint Mary's was held to 1-of-13 from three-point range.
- SMC entered the game ranked 45th in NET, and had 12th-most efficient offense in the country according to KenPom.
- The Gaels' lone assist came at the 2:20 mark of the second half, on their one made three-pointer.
 
WELCOME TO THE CLUB:
- Rui Hachimura joined Gonzaga's exclusive 1,000-point club during the Zags' home win over Saint Mary's.
- His 14th point of the game, a jumpshot to open the second half, put him at 1,001 in his third season at GU.
- The Japan native finished the game with 18 points and sits at 1,005 in his career.
 
HISTORIC PACE:
- Through 10 league games, Gonzaga is beating West Coast Conference opponents by an average of 31.1 points.
- That margin of victory is the best any team has delivered in any conference through the past 20 years.
- The Bulldogs' 31.1 point margin of victory is nearly four points better than the next-best in any Div. 1 league since 1998.
- In its last four games, GU faced the WCC's current second place team, a pair of teams tied for third and the fourth place team, and the Zags' won by an average of 31 points.
- According to STATS, Gonzaga has seven wins by 40+ points this season, the most by any Div I team since Duke had 8 in 2000-01.
- The Zags have won 13 games this season by 30 or more points, equaling the 2016-17 squad's program record.
- The 2016-17 GU team set the WCC record beating league opponents by 26.2 points per outing.
