THE TIP-OFF:

Corey Kispert who scored 14 points. GU shot 51 percent from the field and held LMU to 33 percent.
- The Zags won the first all-time meeting between the programs, 75-71, in Spokane in 1953.

SCOUTING THE LIONS:
- LMU is coming off of a 72-55 win at Portland Saturday.
- The Lions' James Batemon scored a game-high 28 points, while Joe Quintana added 11.
- Batemon leads Loyola Marymount averaging 16.8 points per game, and Mattias Markusson adds 10.6 points per outing.
- Markusson grabs a team-best 6.8 rebounds per game. Batemon has thrown a team-high 93 assists and made 43 steals.

CLARKE NAMED WCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

Brandon Clarke was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week.
- Clarke recorded back-to-back 20-point games in a pair of big wins for the No. 3/3 Zags. He totaled 44 points on 68 percent (17-of-25) shooting from the field.
- The redshirt junior added 22 rebounds, eight blocks, four assists and three steals.
- In the 92-62 win over San Francisco, he scored 20 points and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds. The 16 rebounds were the most in the McCarthey Athletic Center's 15-year history.
- Clarke also broke the program's single-season record for blocked shots. He needed two for the record and finished with five in the game.
- In the rout win over Saint Mary's, Clarke blocked three more shots and scored a game-high 24 points in 23 minutes on 9-of-12 shooting.

QUITE THE PERFORMANCE:
- Gonzaga flew past Saint Mary's in Spokane, 94-46.
- It was the second-largest margin of victory in the series history. The Zags' beat SMC, 102-48, in 2001.
- GU made 58 percent of its shots from the field, and limited the Gaels to 25.9 percent. Saint Mary's was held to 1-of-13 from three-point range.
- SMC entered the game ranked 45th in NET, and had 12th-most efficient offense in the country according to KenPom.
- The Gaels' lone assist came at the 2:20 mark of the second half, on their one made three-pointer.

Rui Hachimura joined Gonzaga's exclusive 1,000-point club during the Zags' home win over Saint Mary's.
- His 14th point of the game, a jumpshot to open the second half, put him at 1,001 in his third season at GU.
- The Japan native finished the game with 18 points and sits at 1,005 in his career.

- Through 10 league games, Gonzaga is beating West Coast Conference opponents by an average of 31.1 points.
- That margin of victory is the best any team has delivered in any conference through the past 20 years.
