Men’s Tennis Grits Out 4-3 Win Over NAU

GU bounced back with four singles wins after dropping doubles point

LAS VEGAS — The Gonzaga men's tennis team bounced back after a tough loss on Saturday to defeat Northern Arizona, 4-3, in a neutral site match in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UNLV squeaked out the doubles point in a tiebreak on No. 1, but the bottom of the Zags lineup came up huge to come back and win the match.

"Every match we play, we learn a lot," head coach Jonas Piibor said. "We use every situation we experience in these matches as teaching moments. The guys really rebounded today with a grit win after coming up short yesterday."

In singles, GU's No. 4, 5 and 6 each swept their matches in straight sets, while Ruadhan O'Sullivan won 6-1, 7-6 on No. 2 take push GU to the victory.

On No. 6, Emilio Moreno had the most dominating win of the day with a 6-1, 6-2 win, while Kyle Everly added a 7-5, 6-4 win on No. 5 and Vincent Rettke won 6-4, 7-5 on No. 4.
