THE TIP-OFF:
- Gonzaga and Saint Mary's meet for the 98th time on Saturday in Spokane, at 7 p.m. The Zags have a 67-30 advantage in the series.
- GU has 13 of the last 16 meetings, and is 41-10 against SMC under
Mark Few. The Bulldogs are 29-11 all-time at home against SMC, including 12-4 in the meetings in the McCarthey Athletic Center.
- Gonzaga is coming off a 92-62 rout win over San Francisco Thursday.
Brandon Clarke scored a game-high 20 points, grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds and blocked five shots. He broke the program's single-season blocks record during the first half and now sits at 74 this season.
- Clarke is first in the nation in field goal percentage (68.5), third with 74 blocks, and third averaging 3.08 blocks.
Josh Perkins is seventh in the country with 161 assists and is ninth averaging 6.71 assists.
- Perkins is one assist from matching the second-most in a career in program history (70). Blake Stepp is currently second with 640.
- The Zags are first in the nation in field goal percentage (52.6 percent), first in scoring margin (25.1), first in scoring offense (91.2), second in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.8), and second with 447 total assists.
- Through the first nine games, the Bulldogs are outscoring their conference opponents by an average of 29.2 points.

Rui Hachimura scored 23 points and was a key part of a defensive effort that neutralized Landale as the 12th-ranked Bulldogs ended the nation's longest active winning streak at 19 games with a 78-65 victory over the 11th ranked Gaels.
- In last season's meeting in Spokane, Saint Mary's escaped with a 74-71 win. The Gaels shot 56.6 percent, while GU was 47.5 percent.
Rui Hachimura came off the bench to score 23 points.
- The Zags won the first all-time meeting between the programs, 86-84, in Moraga on Dec. 23, 1971.
SCOUTING THE GAELS:
- Saint Mary's enters the weekend after a 78-66 home win over Pacific Thursday.
- Jordan Ford scored 28 points, with four made three-pointers, to lead the Gaels. Malik Fitts added 14 points, while Jordan Hunter grabbed 14 rebounds.
- SMC made 52 percent from the field and 10-of-17 from three-point range. The Gaels outrebounded Pacific, 31-19.
- Ford leads the West Coast Conference averaging 22.1 points per game. Fitts adds 16.2 points per game and is fifth in the league with 7.6 rebounds a game.
- Tommy Kuhse averages 3.2 assists per game, while Ford dishes out 3.0 assists per outing.
- Ford tops the conference at 43.8 percent from behind-the-arc, making 2.2 threes per game.
- Saint Mary's is first in the WCC at 38.6 percent shooting from behind-the-perimeter.

Brandon Clarke had game-high 20 points, a career-high 16 rebounds, five blocks, two assists and two steals in the Zags' 92-62 win over San Francisco in Spokane.
- Clarke broke Gonzaga's single-season block record of 70 with his second block of the night. He ended the night with five blocks and now is at 74 blocks this season with a third of the season left.
- His 16 rebounds set a new McCarthey Athletic Center record, which was previously 14 by Kyle Wiltjer in 2014.
- Clarke made 8-of-13 shots from the field in the victory.
