Live Video
Sam Adams Classic: The Bulldogs are joined by runners from Whitworth, Washington State, Eastern Washington, Idaho, Lewis-Clark State, Community Colleges of Spokane at the meet … The Zags open the meet with the 5,000-meter races Thursday evening, before several GU runners take the track at the Pine Bowl Friday.
Thoughts from Director of GU Track and Field, Pat Tyson: Weather is looking very good for the meet. On the men's side, we will hold out most of our guys who will be racing at Stanford and San Francisco State next week. Still, we expect to compete well, and get some personal bests! Our rust buster event Friday evening will be the 3000-meter steeplechase. We had hoped to run it last Saturday, but the weather made it impossible. This challenging 7.5 lap race includes 28 hurdles, plus seven water jumps.
Kellen Manley,
Sammy Truax,
Luke Mason, and
Alex Walde will be the Gonzaga entries. So a good meet coming our way for Gonzaga track and field.
