PRESEASON ALL-WCC
- Gonzaga men's soccer player
Demitrius Kigeya was named to the Preseason All-West Coast Conference Team, selected by the league's head coaches and announced Monday afternoon. Kigeya was named to the WCC All-Freshman team last season.
- Gonzaga was also selected to finish seventh as a team in the preseason poll, while Saint Mary's was the unanimous choice to win the league.
FACING TOUGH COMPETITION:
- Gonzaga will face four NCAA Tournament teams from last season over the course of the 16-game schedule.
- The Zags faced Washington in an exhibition, and will go to Seattle to face the Huskies in the middle of the regular season.
- GU's league slate the rest of the way then features three NCAA teams that all won their postseason opener last season in Portland (road), Saint Mary's (home) and Pacific (road).
OFFENSIVE RETURNERS:
- Freshman Demetrius Kigeya led the way for the Zags in 2018 with eight points on a team-high four goals. He also had team-highs in shots (32) and shots on goal (16).
