RENO, Nev. – The Gonzaga volleyball team fell in straight sets (25-21, 26-24, 25-15) at Nevada Friday night.
Junior outside hitter
Sarah Penner led the Bulldogs with a season-high 19 kills hitting at a .357 clip. Senior setter
Jenna Kuehn added 14 assists and three kills while junior
Gretchen Rudel scooped up 11 digs on the night.
Gonzaga (6-5) finished the night with 33 kills hitting .116, 28 assists, 35 digs and 6.0 blocks to go along with four service aces.
Nevada (9-3) was led by Kayla Afoa's 12 kills and 10 digs. Dalyn Burns added a match-high 33 assists.
Gonzaga concludes the Nevada Invitational Saturday, Sept. 21 against Southern Utah at 11 a.m. at the Virginia Street Gym in Reno, Nev.
