Box Score POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Gonzaga men's soccer jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but couldn't hold on at Marist in a 2-1 loss on Friday evening in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Gonzaga's
Mark McEntosh gave the Zags a 1-0 lead in the 21
st minute with his first goal of the season, but just seven minutes later Marist tied the score.
GU (0-3-0) went into halftime tied, but a Red Fox (1-1-0) goal early in the second half proved to be the difference.
Both teams managed just four shots on goal, and Marist held the edge in shots overall 18-12.
Demitrius Kigeya and
Frankie Ljucovic led the way for GU with three shots each, while McEntosh and
Joe Corner each had two.
