THE TIP OFF
- Gonzaga hosts Northwestern State for the second straight night on Tuesday, at 6 p.m., in the McCarthey Athletic Center in Spokane.
- The Zags cruised to a 95-57 win over Northwestern State Monday night at GU.
Corey Kispert was one-point shy of matching his career-high with 27 points. Four other Zags finished in double-digit scoring, including freshman
Dominick Harris who scored his first points as a Bulldog totaling 10 in the victory. No Zag played more than 28 minutes in the win.
- The last time Gonzaga hosted the same opponent in back-to-back days in non-conference games was a pair of victories over Eastern Montana on Dec. 10 and 11, 1965.
- GU has now won 32 consecutive regular season home-openers since a 73-65 loss to Boise State in 1988.
- GU has won all 17 regular season home-openers in the McCarthey Athletic Center and all 22 regular season home-openers under
Mark Few.
- The Zags have traveled 8,390 miles so far this season during their unbeaten start. If you include the trip to Fort Worth for the game versus Virginia, GU will travel 12,106 miles before WCC play.
- Gonzaga currently owns the nation's longest home win streak at 40 straight victories. The Zags and Baylor own the country's longest neutral win streaks at six.
- The Bulldogs nine consecutive wins dating back to last season is tied for the fifth-longest active streak in nation.
SERIES NOTES
- This is the second-ever meeting between the programs.
- The Bulldogs are 4-0 all-time versus current members of the Southland Conference, with the latest matchup prior to last night being a 76-57 win over Southeastern Louisiana in Spokane on Dec. 2, 2014.
- This is the fifth game against a program from the state of Louisiana for GU. Along with defeating Southeastern Louisiana, the Zags beat Southern University twice in 2010 and 2013.
SCOUTING THE DEMONS
- Northwestern State has played seven of its first nine games away from its home in Natchitoches, La.
- Carvell Teasett led NSU in Monday's loss at Gonzaga with 16 points. Jairus Roberson added 12 points, all on three-pointers. Trenton Massner had four boards.
- Prior to Monday's loss to GU, the Demons fell 94-67 at Missouri State Saturday. Carevll Teasett led NSU with 14 points, while Trenton Massner added 10 points.
- Roberson averages a team-best 10.9 points per game, closely followed by Massner's 10.6 points an outing.
- Kendal Coleman is pulling down a team-best 7.9 rebounds per game, and C.J. Jones dishes out 2.89 assists per game.
- The Demons cruised to a victory on Dec. 12 at home over Champion Christian, 77-44.
- Northwestern State was picked 10th in the 13-member Southland Conference preseason poll.
STELLAR IN SIOUX FALLS
- The Bulldogs rolled to a 99-88 win over No. 3 Iowa in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Dec. 19.
- It was Gonzaga's fourth all-time win over a third-ranked Associated Press team, and fifth over a top-three ranked team.

Jalen Suggs scored a team-high 27 points. Four other Zags finished in double-digit scoring.

Joel Ayayi's 18 rebounds were the most by a Bulldog guard since the program moved to NCAA Div. 1 in 1958-59. His 18 boards were also the fourth most for a Gonzaga player since
Mark Few took over as head coach.
WHAT A START
- Per ESPN stats and info, with (1) Gonzaga's 99-88 win over (3) Iowa, the Bulldogs became just the third team all-time to beat three AP Top-15 opponents in their first four games of a season. They join 1974-75 Indiana and 1968-69 UCLA.
SUGGS SWEEPS WCC WEEKLY HONORS
- The West Coast Conference has named Gonzaga's
Jalen Suggs its University Credit Union Men's Basketball Player and Freshman of the Week for Dec. 21.
- Suggs exploded onto the national scene with a career-high 27 points in just his fourth collegiate game against No. 3/3 Iowa in front of national audience on CBS.
- The freshman led No. 1/1 Gonzaga to a 99-88 victory over the Hawkeyes in Sioux Falls, S.D. Seven of his eight made shots from the field were from three-point range, going 7-of-10 from behind-the-arc.
- The West St. Paul, Minn., native, added seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block.
- For his efforts, Suggs was named NCAA "March Madness" National Player of the Week.
