THE TIP OFF
- Gonzaga plays for the second straight night as it hosts Dixie State Tuesday at 6 p.m., in the McCarthey Athletic Center. It's the Zags sixth game over the last 10 days.
- This is the first-ever meeting between GU and Dixie State. The Trailblazers launch the transition to Div. 1 status after a decade as a NCAA Div. 2 Tournament perennial.
- According to KenPom, GU boasts the nation's most efficient offense.
- The Zags have traveled 12,106 miles so far this season during their unbeaten start.
- The Zags are coming off of an 88-58 victory over Northern Arizona Monday. Joel Ayayi finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Drew Timme added 14 points, Dominick Harris scored 12 and Andrew Nembhard finished with 10 points and seven assists.
- GU is second in the nation in scoring offense (94.3), third in field goal percentage (55.0), and sixth in assists (20.8).
- According to KenPom, GU boasts the nation's most efficient offense and 19th best defense.
- Corey Kispert (20.6) and Drew Timme (20.6) lead the WCC in scoring. Kispert's 3.3 made threes per game ranks 13th in the nation, while his 50 percent shooting from behind-the-arc is 20th.
- Jalen Suggs is first in the conference in steals (2.6), and is second in assists (5.9).
- Kispert and Suggs were named the WCC Player and Freshman of the Week. Four different Zags have received the honor out of the possible five weeks. Suggs has earned the freshman recognition three of the five weeks.
- The Bulldogs 12 consecutive wins dating back to last season is tied for the third-longest active streak in nation.
- Gonzaga currently owns the nation's longest home win streak at 42 straight victories. The Zags own the country's longest neutral win streak at seven.
- The Bulldogs have won 29 of their last 30 games, and 39 out of their last 41 games. The best stretch in the country since the start of the 2019-20 season.

SERIES NOTES
- This is the first-ever meeting between Gonzaga and Dixie State (St. George, Utah).
- The Zags are 8-0 all-time versus current members from the Western Athletic Conference, with an average score of 86.6-54.6.
- GU cruised in its latest matchup against a WAC opponent, beating CSU Bakersfield in Spokane last season, 77-49.
 
SCOUTING THE TRAILBLAZERS
- The Trailblazers launch the transition to Division 1 status after a decade as a NCAA Division 2 Tournament perennial.
- They tied for first in their conference last season and finished with a 23-7 overall record.
- Dixie State returns four starters including leading scorer Hunter Schofield (16.5 ppg).
- Dixie State is off to an impressive start to Div. 1 play, winning four of its first five games.
- In its last game, four Trailblazers scored in double figures as Dixie State ran its record to 4-1 on the strength of a 90-69 rout of Bethesda College on Dec. 19.
- Four Dixie State players average double-digit scoring, led by Jacob Nicolds' 13.4 points per game at 56.1 percent shooting from the field. He's grabbing a team-best 6.8 rebounds per outing. Frank Staine is adding 12.4 points per contest, while Cameron Gooden and Isaiah Pope chip in 12.2 and 11.5 points per game.
