THE TIP OFF:
- Gonzaga and Loyola Marymount meet for the 97th time on Thursday in Spokane, at 8 p.m. GU has a 75-21 advantage in the series.
- The Zags have won 22 straight versus the Lions, and 26 of the last 27 meetings. The Lions last win in the series came on Feb. 18, 2010, 74-66, in L.A. The Bulldogs are 43-3 against Loyola Marymount under Mark Few.
- Gonzaga is 37-6 at home against the Lions and has won all 16 meetings in the McCarthey Athletic Center. GU has won 29 straight at home over Loyola Marymount. The last Lion win in Spokane was on Feb. 7, 1991, 91-79.
- The Bulldogs are coming off of an 83-79 win at San Francisco Saturday.
- Gonzaga's 36 straight regular season conference wins is currently the longest streak of its kind in the nation, and a new WCC record (Pepperdine '91-'93 won 32 straight).
- The Zags are the lone team in the nation to have six players averaging double-digit scoring per game.
- The Bulldogs have the country's third-longest win streak currently at 15 consecutive victories.
- GU's 35 straight wins at home is the longest active streak in the nation, and third longest in program history.
- The Bulldogs' 16 consecutive true road wins is currently the longest active streak in the country. Gonzaga has won 37 straight conference road wins.
- GU is first in the nation in scoring offense (88.6), scoring margin (21.5) and total rebounds (990), second in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.58), third in field goal percentage (50.9), rebound margin (9.5) and total assists (419).

- Earlier this season in L.A., No. 1 Gonzaga cruised to an 87-62 win at Loyola Marymount. Five Zags finished in double-digit scoring, led by Filip Petrusev's 16 points.
- Gonzaga is 29-14 all-time at LMU and have won 10 straight in Los Angeles.
- The Zags won the first all-time meeting between the programs, 75-71, in Spokane in 1953.
 
SCOUTING THE LIONS:
- Loyola Marymount is coming off of a 68-67 overtime loss to rival Pepperdine. LMU was buoyed by Eli Scott's 21 points, six assists, and five rebound performance and Keli Leaupepe's 17 and nine night on 7-for-9 shooting. The Lions closed regulation on an 8-0 run.
- Scott averages team-highs of 15.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.
 
A ZAG WIN WOULD ...
- Extend the nation's third-longest active win streak to 16.
- Improve the nation's current longest home win streak to 36.
- Be the 18th straight win at home over a WCC opponent.
- Be the 32nd straight victory at home over an unranked foe.
- Extend the Bulldogs' conference regular season win streak to 37 victories.
- Be the 18th straight win for GU in the month of February.
 
PETRUSEV ON WOODEN LATE SEASON LIST:
- Filip Petrusev was named to the John R. Wooden Award Late Season Top 20 list, announced by the Los Angeles Athletic Club. The award is presented to the nation's most outstanding basketball player.
- Petrusev averages a team-high 17 points per game, which ranks fourth in the West Coast Conference. He is second in the WCC grabbing 7.8 rebounds per game. The sophomore is fifth in the league shooting 56.4 percent from the field, and fourth blocking a shot each game.
- Chosen by a poll of national college basketball experts, the late season list is comprised of 20 student-athletes who are front-runners for the sport's most prestigious honor, based on their performances during the first half of 2019-20.
- The Wooden Award All American Team™ will be announced the week of the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament. The winner of the 2020 John R. Wooden Award will be presented by Wendy's during the ESPN College Basketball Awards on April 10.
 
PETRUSEV NAMED WCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
- Filip Petrusev was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week Monday.
- Petrusev was key in guiding the Zags to road wins at Santa Clara and San Francisco. He totaled 54 points and 20 rebounds in the victories.
- Petrusev made 22 of his 32 shots from the field (68.8 percent), including 14-of-18 at Santa Clara. Against the Broncos, he scored a career-high 31 points, while grabbing nine rebounds. The sophomore recorded his sixth double-double of the season, scoring 23 points and grabbing 11 boards.
- For his efforts, Petrusev was named the March Madness National Player of the Week. It is the second WCC weekly honor for Petrusev.
 
JUST HOW THEY DREW IT UP:
- With Killian Tillie out with an injury, Drew Timme rose to the occasion in the Zags' win at San Francisco.
- He scored a career-high 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field. Timme drew six fouls and was 7-of-8 from the line.
- The freshman played a conference season-high 29 minutes, blocked five shots and dished out three assists.
- Over the last five games, Timme has 14 blocked shots.
 
ZAGS TARGETING 25 WINS ... AGAIN:
- Gonzaga has won at least 25 games in each of the last 12 consecutive seasons.
- The Zags have reached the 25-win plateau in 15 of the last 16 seasons, and 19 of the last 21.
- Only Kansas (13), Duke (11) and GU have reached 25 wins in each of the last 11 seasons.
