Highest doubles ranking in program history

Complete ITA Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. –
The Gonzaga men's tennis doubles pair of Sam Feit and Matthew Hollingworth set a new standard with the program's highest-ever ranking in doubles at No. 33 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings released Wednesday.

Feit, a senior, and Hollingworth put together a solid fall and assumed the top spot in the Gonzaga lineup through the first five dual matches of the spring. They've combined for a 7-3 overall record and 3-2 mark in dual-match play.

In the fall, they won four straight matches at the ITA Northwest Regional to make the semifinals, which was the deepest run in the tournament in program history. The week included a win over Stanford's Sangeet Sridhar and Alexandre Rotsaert.

So far this spring, the tandem has added a win over the then-No. 41 team of Jannik Opitz and Kennosuke Nouchi from Western Michigan.

Gonzaga will be back on the court in its home opener on Friday in a doubleheader with Eastern Washington and Montana, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Stevens Center. Check GoZags.com for links to live video and scoring.
