Women's Rowing Finds Success at Head of Oklahoma

Gonzaga placed first in the Collegiate 4+ race

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – In the first fall regatta of the season, Gonzaga women's rowing found themselves on the podium in the Collegiate 4+ race.

With 22 teams competing, the Zags came out on top with a time of 15:12.94. The time was a dominate performance as Alabama got second with a time of 15:18.41. Gonzaga fielded two boats in the race and the second boat placed 10th with a time of 16:08.40.

GU also had a boat in the Collegiate 8+ race, which placed fourth overall as the boat crossed the finish line at 14:01.28. Alabama claimed first with a time of 13:31.90 as 10 teams competed in the race.

The Bulldogs also competed in a night race, the Women's Collegiate 8+ Grand Finals. The Zags finished third with a time of 1:42.05.
