BOULDER CITY, Nev. — Gonzaga women's golf is tied for eighth place after the first round of The Clash at Boulder Creek. The tournament is being played at Boulder Greek Golf Club and is hosted by Northern Arizona.
The Zags finished Day 1 at 12-over (300), led by senior
Quynn Duong who shot even par (72) on the day. She is tied for ninth heading into Monday's second round, and her 14 pars were tied for the second-most in the 102-player field.
Freshman
Chaewon Baek is tied for 25th after turning in a score of two-over (74), making 12 pars and two birdies along the way.
Mary Scott Wolfe shot four-over (76) in the first round and is tied for 44th.
Cassie Kim is tied for 64th at six-over (78), making 12 pars on the day.
Kaysa Panke shot 11-over (83) in round one and is tied for 97th.
UNLV's Madeleine Laux leads all golfers heading into the second round after shooting four-under (68). San Francisco's Annika Borrelli and Utah Valley's Victoria Estrada are both tied for second just one stroke behind (-3, 69). San Francisco sits atop the team leaderboard at two-under (286).
