BOULDER CITY, Nev. — The Gonzaga women's golf team remains tied for eighth place through the first two rounds of the Clash at Boulder Creek, hosted by Northern Arizona at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
The Bulldogs turned in a total score to par of 17-over (305) in Round 2. They will head into the final round on Tuesday at 29-over (605) for the tournament. As a team, the Zags have made 110 pars and 17 birdies through the first two rounds. Their 110 pars are tied for fifth most among the 18-team field.
After shooting even par (72) in Sunday's first round, senior Quynn Duong shot three-over (75) on Monday, leaving her in a tie for fifth entering Tuesday's final round with a score of 147 (+3). She made 13 pars on the day, bringing her total up to 27 for the tournament, which is third most on the individual leaderboard.
Chaewon Baek remains in a tie for 25th at six-over (150). She made 11 pars and two birdies in the second round, turning in a score of four-over (76). Teammate Mary Scott Wolfe jumped up 11 spots on the individual leaderboard after carding a score of three-over (75) on Monday. She is in a tie for 33rd at seven-over (151).
Junior Cassie Kim is 13-over (157) after two rounds of play and is in a tie for 61st, scoring seven-over (79) in Monday's second round. Her 25 pars are tied for sixth best in the 102-player field. Kaysa Panke (+23, 167) is tied for 98th.
UNLV remains at the top of the team leaderboard at eight-over (584), led by Veronica Joels (-5, 139) and Hina Matsui (+4, 148). Joels leads the individual leaderboard by one stroke over Utah Valley's Victoria Estrada (-4, 140).
