BOULDER CITY, Nev. — In their final event of the fall season, the Gonzaga women's golf team placed ninth at the Clash at Boulder Creek.
As a team, the Zags totaled a score of 39-over (903) for the tournament. In Round 3, they combined to shoot ten-over (298). A team total of 163 pars filled the Zag scorecards during the tournament, with 53 coming in the final round.
Gonzaga was led by
Quynn Duong, who tied for 11th on the individual leaderboard at four-over (220). She carded a score of one-over (73) in Tuesday's final round, making 13 pars and two birdies. She finished in a tie for the second-most pars (40) out of 102 players in the field, just one shy of the tournament best (41).
Mary Scott Wolfe followed up scores of 76 (+4) and 75 (+3) in the first two rounds with a 74 (+2) in Round 3. She finished in a tie for 34th at nine-over (225), making 31 pars and eight birdies overall.
Chaewon Baek completed the tournament in a tie for 50th at 14-over (230). She made 12 pars in the final round and shot eight-over (80) on the day.
Cassie Kim turned in a Round 3 score of three-over (75) and finished tied for 60th.
Kaysa Panke (+27, 243) finished in a tie at 93rd.
UNLV took home the team title, shooting even par (864). The Runnin' Rebels were led by Veronica Joels (-5, 211), Nicole Lorup (+2, 218), and Hina Matsui (+3, 219). On the individual leaderboard, it was Joels who finished on top at five-under (211), with Utah Valley's Victoria Estrada one stroke behind at four-under (212).
This event marks the end of the fall season, where Gonzaga finished with one win and two top-four finishes in their four-tournament schedule. The Bulldogs will be back on the course in mid-February at The Show at Spanish Trail in at Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas, Nevada.
