LAHAINA, Hawaii — Gonzaga men's golf is through two rounds of the Ka'anapali Classic, hosted by the University of Hawaii. They head into the final round in 11th place at six-over (574) after totaling a score of seven-over (291) in Round 2.
 
Charlie Magruder shot 73 (+2) in Saturday's second round and is tied for 37th at even par (142). He has 22 pars and seven birdies after the first two rounds.
 
Jace Minni and Matt Ruel are both tied for 45th at one-over (143). Minni shot even par (71) in Round 2, making 12 pars and three birdies on the day, bringing his total pars to 25. Ruel has one more par at 26, which is the second most by an individual through the first two rounds. He turned in a score of one-over (72) on Saturday, a round in which he made 12 pars, one birdie and one eagle.
 
Zach Stocker is four-over (146) heading into Sunday's final round. He finished Round 2 at four-over (75) and is tied for 55th. Andrew Reinhardt (+16, 158) is tied for 78th.
 
"Poor scoring on the Par-5's and a rough finish for us down the stretch took away a good day for us after getting to five-under," GU Head Coach Robert Gray said. "Another day tomorrow to put it together to finish our fall season."
 
Kansas is on top of the team leaderboard at 38-under (530), after shooting a combined 22-under (262) in Round 2. Colorado is the closest team behind the Jayhawks at 22-under (546) through two rounds. Carson Griggs from the University of Denver lead all individuals at 12-under (130), while CSU Northridge's Nick Fowles and Loyola Maryland's Brandon Berry sit one stroke back at 11-under (131).
