STOCKTON, Calif. – The Gonzaga men's soccer team closed out the regular season with a 3-1 loss to Pacific on Saturday night.
In the first half, Pacific got on the board in the 43rd minute with a goal from Ryan Her and assisted by Cooper Rile and Erik Centeno.
In the second half, the Tigers scored in the 66th minute from Centeno, assisted by Ryan Her and Diego Villapuda. Pacific added to its lead in the 83rd minute with a goal from Yazid Omri and assisted by Ryan Her.
Gonzaga officially got on the board in the 87th minute with a goal from senior Theo O'Malley, marking his first goal of the season.
Overall, the Zags took six shots compared to Pacific's 14 on the night. All of GU's six shots were on goal, as the Tigers took eight on goal.
In head coach Aaron Lewis' first season at the helm, the Zags finish the season 7-10 overall and 2-5 in the West Coast Conference. This season marks the best record for Gonzaga since 2016, when GU finished 8-8-2 overall and 2-4-1 in the WCC.
