Women’s Soccer Caps Off Regular Season with 15th Win

Zags pickup program record 12th shutout victory
LOS ANGELES — Gonzaga women's soccer finished its regular season schedule with a 1-0 victory at Loyola Marymount Saturday. The win extends the Zags' program record of most victories in a single season to 15.
The Bulldogs (15-5-0, 5-4-0 West Coast Conference) recorded their 12th shutout of the season, breaking the program record previously set in 2005. This GU squad also owns the program single season records for most goals (47), assists (39), points (131), shots (387) and shots on goal (196).
Following a foul on LMU (0-19-0, 0-9-0 WCC) in the 58th minute, the Zags quickly played a free kick and went the length of the field on a counterattack. Willow Collins found Hannah Hale who struck in her third goal of the season. It was Collins' fifth assist of the season.
Gonzaga outshot the Lions 17-11, with an 8-4 edge in shots on goal. The Bulldogs took five of the match's six corner kicks. Three of Hale's game-high four shots were on frame.
Kendyll Humphreys made seven saves for Loyola Marymount, while Lyza Bosselmann had four saves in the GU net.
