THE TIP OFF
- The Gonzaga Bulldogs travels to UC Davis on Sunday, Dec. 19. This is the first road game since the Zags traveled to Honolulu, HI to compete in the Rainbow Wahine Showdown. 
- Gonzaga is coming off a hard fought win 64-54 over Stephen F. Austin. As a team, Gonzaga recorded 11 blocks, the first time the team has recorded more than 10 blocks since 2015. Senior Anamaria Virjoghe tied her career-high with four while sophomore Yvonne Ejim led the team with a career-best of five.
- Junior Kaylynne Truong is leading the Zags with averaging 12.5 points a game. Yvonne Ejim leads the team in rebounds with 5.9 a game as Anamaria Virjoghe is right behind her with 5.7 rpg. Virjoghe recorded nine offensive rebounds last game, which was one off of the record of 10 offensive rebounds since 1999. 
- Cierra Walker is leading the WCC in 3-pointers made at 45.7 percent, which also ranks for 34th in the country.
- GU is forcing an average of 13.9 turnovers per game and a total of 139 so far this season.
- The Zags are averaging 39.9 rebounds a game and a 11.6 rebound margin, which ranks 14th in the nation and first in the West Coast Conference.
- Offensively, Gonzaga averages 66.8 points per game while its opponents average 53.7 ppg.
- UC Davis is coming off a 68-42 loss to No. 3 Stanford. Prior to that loss, the Aggies defeated Stanislaus State 84-55. The Aggies are 5-4 overall this season and 3-2 at home. 
- Including this game, Gonzaga has two more non-conference games before starting WCC play on December 30 at home against San Francisco.
- The Bulldogs will face six teams that were part of the 2021 NCAA Tournament during the 2021-22 campaign. 
- Last season, the Zags advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth-straight year under head coach Lisa Fortier.
- Gonzaga returns two starters and seven letterwinners from last season's squad that claimed the Zags' fifth consecutive West Coast Conference regular season title.
-The Zags won their ninth WCC Tournament Title in 2021 with a thrilling victory over BYU in the championship game.

FIRST MEETING: The Zags defeated UC Davis 73-70 at home in 2007.    
LAST MEETING: Gonzaga defeated UC Davis 81-60 in the WNIT First Round in 2008 at home. The only other game was on the road, when the Zags won 71-58.    
ON THE ROAD AGAIN: Gonzaga is currently undefeated on the road this year as the team went 3-0 in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Rainbow Wahine Showdown. The other game on the road this season was at Montana, when Gonzaga won 67-60 in Missoula. GU has one more road game at Eastern Washington before conference play begins.

- UC Davis is 5-4 after a tough non-conference slate. The Aggies just fell to Stanford, but they defeated #18/16 Oregon 64-57 back on December 1.
- Offensively, UC Davis is averaging 60.1 points a game and shooting a 40.9 percentage.
- Against WCC teams, UC Davis is 0-2 on the season after falling to San Francisco 73-46 and 52-50 against Saint Mary's.
- UC Davis has wins over Academy of Art, Sacramento State, Weber State and Stanislaus State.
- Cierra Hall is leading the team with 11.2 points a game and 8.2 rebounds a game.
- The Aggies are forcing 11 turnovers and 9.2 steals a game. They are also recording 36.9 rebounds a game and allowing their opponents to get 37.9 a game.
- UC Davis is led by head coach Jennifer Gross, who is the first women's basketball coach in the history of the Big West to win five consecutive coach of the year awards (2017-2021) and a finalist for the WBCA National coach of the year in 2018. She enters her 11th season at the helm of her alma mater.
