SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Gonzaga Women's soccer team dropped their first West Coast Conference game of the season at San Francisco Tuesday, 3-0, ending the Zags' four-game win streak.
The Dons (2-2-2, 1-2-1 West Coast Conference) scored their first goal of the game just 14 minutes in. GU outshot San Francisco in the first half, 9-5, and had a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks.
In the 66th minute, Marie Marlow scored her first goal of the season, before Sydney Cooper added a third USF goal in the 76th minute. Cooper's second goal of the season came off of an assist from Jamesen Ward.
San Francisco took 11 shots in the second half, compared to the Bulldogs' three. Gonzaga's (5-2, 3-1 WCC) Lyza Bosselmann made six saves. The Dons' Molly Eby had five saves.
The Zags return home for their next game on Saturday at 1 p.m., against Saint Mary's.
