SAN MATEO, Calif. — Gonzaga's Lyza Bosselmann was named the West Coast Conference Women's Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday.
Bosselmann saved all three shots that came her way in the Zags' 3-0 shutout win over Pepperdine Saturday in Spokane. She helped guide GU to its first victory over the Waves since 2010.
Bosselmann finished tied atop the conference with four shutouts, and third with an 80.4 save percentage.
Sydni Burrup was nominated for the league's offensive player of the week. Saint Mary's Emily Jensen received the honor.
