Zags and Longhorns to meet in 2021-22 and 2022-23

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga men's basketball and Texas announced a home and home series agreement Friday. The Zags host Texas on Nov. 13 this upcoming season, before playing in the Moody Center at UT on Nov. 16, 2022.

It's the fourth all-time meeting between GU and the Longhorns. Gonzaga has won all three previous matchups, including the latest a 76-71 overtime thriller at the PK80 Invitational in Portland on Nov. 26, 2017.

In the first meeting on Nov. 23, 2001, GU recorded a 67-64 win in the semifinals of the Great Alaska Shootout in Anchorage, Alaska. On Dec. 2, 2006, the Bulldogs registered an 87-77 victory in the Basketball Hall of Fame Challenge in Phoenix.

The Zags are 22-10 against current Big 12 members, falling to Baylor in the national championships in the last game versus a Big 12 foe. The last 10 meetings against Big 12 opponents have come on a neutral floor.
