Lyza Bosselmann was named the West Coast Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 20.

Junior goalkeeper
Lyza Bosselmann recorded back-to-back shutouts in Gonzaga's sixth and seventh straight victories, matching the program's longest ever win streak. In a 1-0 shutout at Arizona, Bosselmann collected three saves while facing nine shots from the Wildcats. Sunday at New Mexico State, the sophomore recorded a pair of saves in a dominating 4-0 decision at altitude.
Bosselmann and the Zags have posted seven shutouts this season. GU is off to a program record 9-1-0 start to the season.
This is the first Defensive Player of the Week honor for a Zag this season and the second weekly honor overall in 2021 for Gonzaga.
