Kaysa Panke (+23, 236) and
Alyssa Nguyen (+41, 254) were 80th and 93rd.
"I was super proud of Quynn today, fighting back from a tough day yesterday with a great 68," Gonzaga Head Coach
Brad Rickel said. "I'm also proud of our freshman Chaewon, shooting under par today. All in all, a really good team day. We fought very hard to try to win that thing, we just had a little bit too much of a deficit to get it done. To move up three spots on the final day is good, but this team has a taste for winning, so third place doesn't feel like we completed our goal. But, we will look forward to the next one and learn from this."
Hawaii won the team title led by medalist honors from Momo Sugiyama. She was three-under (68) on the final day and was the lone golfer under par at one-under (212) in the tournament. Oral Roberts Kiana Oshiro was second at even-par (213). Hawaii beat Sacramento State by a stroke at 20-over (872).
Gonzaga is at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational hosted by Seattle University next. The Bulldogs compete in the tournament Oct. 11-12 in Tacoma, Wash., at the Tacoma Country Club. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
